Thanks for a great night, we had a blast, it was so much fun to see everyone. I really don't think we look any older!! Eric & KC P.S. Nice write up in the paper today!!
The Hanks is a media juggernaut. Likely broke 200 book sales in a single day...helped along by Jason Manuel purchasing about 15... When you approach your 100,000th book sale, make sure to return to Oxford to break the mark, kinda like Eddie Murray coming back to Baltimore to hit his 500th home run. I am sure Chappie will fire up the Rapa scrapple for you.
I don't think Oxford has been that busy since Doug's last Christmas party. Good show, and I think you should sell the book at bars nationwide. Something about drinking makes people want to immediately purchase books that involve drinking.
The books were selling fast, but the beer was selling faster. Out of 10-ouncers at 6:09 p.m. That crowd is still in fine fighting form. Oxford would have expected no less. Can't tell you how much fun it was to see everybody back in town for an event. Good thing Farmar had Oxford immunity and drove me home. If I had walked, I might have wound up in The Shed.
It was like old times driving through Oxford at 1:30 am. Turn signals, 3 second stops and 23 MPH.
On our way to get coffee and the newspaper Sunday morning, a local stopped Jamie to confirm a rumor he had heard. "Is it true Latitude's ran out of beer last night?"
That's the best one since that Island Party when the Chief came by the next morning and said someone living on the Strand called him in the middle of the night to complain about this huge party going on next door to his house.

What better compliment can someone give?
